Maria Ressa は Rappler co-founder / journalist で、2021年 Nobel Peace Prize 受賞者。Nobel Prize の citation は、民主主義と平和の前提である freedom of expression を守る努力を評価している。彼女は Duterte 政権下の権力濫用や暴力、authoritarianism を取材し、Rappler とともに social media が fake news、harassment、public discourse manipulation に使われる構造を記録してきた。
