# OSoMe
|
||
|
||
OSoMe（Observatory on Social Media）は、Indiana University の interdisciplinary research center。data scientists と journalists を接続し、media and technology が社会に与える影響を研究し、social media 上の manipulation を分析・対抗する tools を作る。[[information-integrity]] と [[maria-ressa]] が扱う「social platforms が民主主義・報道・公共圏に与える影響」と同じ問題圏にある。

## Why it matters

|
||
OSoMe は、単に social media を観察する研究組織ではなく、public-interest technology として manipulation を見える化する dashboard/tool 群を提供する点が重要。代表的な surface には、情報の superspreader を追跡する Top FIBers、選挙関連の cross-platform analysis、COVID-19 vaccine adoption と online discourse の関係を可視化する CoVaxxy などがある。
